Up to four people may have fled the scene of a car crash in Richmond Hill that landed two people in hospital with minor injuries.

York Regional Police are looking for the suspects or anyone who may have witnessed the two-car collision which happened at the intersection of 16th and Strathearn avenues just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Two occupants of one vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital.

Witnesses at the scene told police that the four occupants of the other vehicle involved in the collision, a silver 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck, fled the scene on foot before emergency crews arrived.

Investigators are appealing to the public for help identifying the occupants of the truck.
