WHITBY, Ont. -- Three people, including a teenage girl, have been charged in a Toronto-area human trafficking case involving a 14-year-old girl.
Police say the victim was found Thursday in a Whitby hotel after she was advertised online as an escort.
They say three suspects were arrested in a car in the hotel's parking lot.
George Shields, 26, Shaquwane Rose, 20, and a 17-year-old girl are charged with exercising control of a person under 18 and possession of a controlled substance.
The teen suspect, who cannot legally be identified because of her age, is also charged with failing to comply with recognizance.
