Toronto police are searching for three men wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman downtown Wednesday morning. 

Police say that the woman was walking in the area of Yonge and Gerrard streets between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. when she was approached by the three suspects.

According to investigators, the woman was forced into a secluded area, where she was sexually assaulted.

The woman managed to escape and contacted authorities, police say.

The first suspect has been described as a black male who is about 30 years old, approximately 200 pounds with a large build and has black short hair. He was reportedly clean shaven at the time of the assault and was wearing a black hat with white writing, dark blue jeans, black running shoes, and a black and white hoodie that read “Shawn” on the back.

The second suspect is described as a white male who is about 20 years old and is approximately 170 pounds with a skinny build, blue eyes, light blond hair and a chinstrap beard and mustache. At the time of the assault, police say he was wearing a black hat with a red rim and black and red shoes. The suspect is also said to have a tattoo of a devil on the back of his right shoulder.

Police say the third suspect reportedly had a dark complexion and appeared to be in his late 20s. The man is described as about five-foot-nine with a skinny build, brown eyes, short black hair. He was also said to be clean shaven and was last seen wearing a white dress shirt and blue jeans. The suspect reportedly had one tattoo on his left shoulder and another on his top right wrist.
