A 43-year-old Toronto man is facing a number of charges in connection with a child pornography investigation.
They stem from a search warrant executed in the Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue area on Tuesday.
During the search, police allege that officers located videos and images depicting children being sexually abused.
A suspect was arrested as a result.
“Police believe he may have had contact with other children over the past four years in the Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue West area,” police said in a release issued Thursday.
Henrique Mateus is charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography, and making available child pornography.
He was scheduled to appear in court yesterday morning.
