A 31-year-old motorcyclist has died after a serious collision on Wednesday afternoon in Oshawa.
The crash happened at about 2:17 p.m. at Harmony Road and Adelaide Avenue. Durham police say a motorcycle collided with a Ford vehicle driven by a 50-year-old Oshawa man.
After the collision, the vehicle was heavily damaged on the driver's side and the motorcycle was lying on the ground, some distance away.
A man was taken to Lakeridge Health Oshawa, but pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the Ford was also taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The intersection of Harmony Road and Adelaide Avenue will remain closed until 8 p.m., while police investigate the incident.
