Where Christophere Stands on the Big Issues Facing Toronto:

1. How would you tackle the city's financial challenges?

I'd like to spend wisely, live within our means and try not to go out and spend on things that we cannot afford.

2. What would you do with the city's tax rate?

I'd like to keep increases to a minimum. I don't think cutting taxes is feasible at the moment.

3. What would you do to lower the city's crime rate?

I think the G20 was a wakeup call. I'd like to work with the police department to bring the crime level back down.

4. What are your thoughts on Transit City?

I think Transit City is important. It's something we need to finish. That being said, I think before we extend things any further, we need to get the transit that we have running moving more efficiently and consistently.

5. Should the city be painting more bike lanes?

I think we should put bike lanes anywhere that it is feasible, but do it without disrupting traffic too much. That means I'd be looking at smaller side streets.

6. Do you believe the city should charge road tolls?

I'm against road tolls. I think we have enough money as it is, but we are just not using it correctly.

7. What is your big idea for the city?

It comes down to wise spending. If we do spend wisely and live within our means, we can fix the transit problem, keep our taxes low and get the city back on track.
