There is a new way to avoid back-ups and bottlenecks while driving on Toronto roads.
The CP24 Traffic App, which is now available for most smartphone platforms, gives you audio and visual updates on the latest congestion and it does so without requiring you to even press a button while behind the wheel.
"Traffic can make or break your day," said Joanne MacDonald, the Vice-President of CTV News and General Manager of CP24. "CP24 works hard to deliver info that gets people out the door better, faster with as little headache as possible – and this app will really help with that goal."
Following up on the success of CP24s wildly popular News App, the Traffic App will provide up to the minute updates along recorded routes and five kilometres ahead of your drive.
When conditions change it will alert you via an audio message.
It also comes pre-equipped with a number of popular routes already available to choose from.
The free app can be downloaded directly onto your mobile devices through a variety of sites.
