Toronto quarterback Ricky Ray will make is first start of the season when the Argonauts host the B.C Lions next Friday.

Argos head coach Scott Milanovich made the announcement Sunday.

Ray came into the game for starter Trevor Harris in Toronto's lopsided 34-2 loss to Montreal on Friday at Tim Hortons Field. He completed 12 of his 15 pass attempts for 94 yards and had a late touchdown toss negated by a penalty.

Harris stepped in admirably as Toronto's starter after Ray underwent off-season shoulder surgery, then struggled to find consistency upon his return.

The Argos compiled a 9-7 record and secured a playoff spot with Harris under centre despite playing just three games at Rogers Centre due to scheduling conflicts.

Toronto, however, has lost its last two games and has fallen into third place in the CFL East, two points behind Hamilton and Ottawa.
