With the games now less than two years away, IOC officials are visiting venues for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

The IOC co-ordination commission is making its sixth visit to Pyeongchang to check on preparations for the first Winter Games in Korea.

The IOC says the panel visited venues in the coastal cluster on Monday, including the Gangeung sports complex, Kwandong ice hockey centre and the athletes and media villages.

Leaders of international winter sports federations are taking part in the three-day visit.

The visit follows recent successful test events in Alpine skiing and snowboard events.

However, a testing period for luge, bobsled and skeleton events was scrapped and pushed back until at least October because workers were unable to coat the track with ice.
