Argonauts give Boyd contract extension

TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts have given running back Cory Boyd a contract extension through the 2013 season.

Boyd was the CFL's second-leading rusher with 1,359 yards last season, scoring eight touchdowns.

And he led the CFL in yards from scrimmage with 1,722.

Boyd also the first Argos running back since Michael Jenkins in 2001 to be named a CFL all-star.
