Toronto police are investigating after a car veered off a street, struck a pole and then crashed into a building in Scarborough early Wednesday morning.

Police said the odd crash occurred at Brimley and Ellesmere roads at 3:45 a.m.

After the male driver lost control of his car, the vehicle struck a pole at the intersection and then crashed into the wall of Ellesmere Dental Centre.

The vehicle wound up being suspended in the air by a concrete pillar in front of the dental office. Pillars were previously installed outside the building to prevent vehicles from striking the building.

No injuries were reported.

Police said they don't suspect impairment of any sort.

It's not known if any charges will be laid.
