A police officer will not be patrolling the hallways of a Toronto high school where a student was shot and killed two years ago, reports say.

A Toronto District School Board official tells the Toronto Sun that a resource officer will not be placed at C.W. Jefferys Collegiate this year.

She says after meeting with community members and the student body, the majority of people want a different type of resource.

In 2007, Jordan Manners was shot and killed on school property. Two months ago, another student suffered serious injuries following a knife attack.
