MILAN - David Beckham injured his right ankle training with AC Milan on Tuesday.

The injury does not appear serious, but Milan said it would evaluate the former England captain's condition over the next few days. Milan visits Siena on Sunday.

The injury comes three days after Beckham reached a deal to extend his loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy through the end of the Serie A season.

Milan has been hard hit by injuries this season, and Kaka said Tuesday that he won't return until the pain goes away in his foot.

"It needs some time to heal because there are several tendons in that area that have continually been inflamed," Kaka said.

The Brazilian was injured Feb. 7 in a Serie A match against Reggina.

Striker Marco Borriello -- last season's Serie A scoring leader while on loan to Genoa -- and midfielder Gennaro Gattuso are also out, while Ronaldinho, Clarence Seedorf and Massimo Ambrosini are not fully fit.
