Fire crews are currently battling a barn fire near Lake Ridge Road and Rossland Road in Whitby.
Dave Selby of the Durham Regional Police tells CP24 that most of the animals in the barn have escaped. No injuries have been reported.
There is still no word on the cause of the fire.
