It was a wild night for weather in southern Ontario, as Mother Nature brought everything from heavy rain and thunder to ice pellets and snow.

Rain continues to fall across the Greater Toronto Area as a low-pressure system moves through, but the rainfall amounts are expected to remain below severe limits.

Thunderstorms rolled through early Wednesday.

There are no reports of any flooding, but the weather may impact your travel plans.

Porter Airlines is asking people to confirm their flight times before heading to Toronto Island's Billy Bishop Airport.

In northern Ontario, whiteout conditions were reported near North Bay, as a snowfall warning was issued for Algonquin Park and into the upper Muskokas. A freezing rain warning was issued for Huntsville.

Freezing rain is an issue in an area stretching from Haliburton and Bancroft through the Ottawa Valley and into Ottawa.

More rain in the forecast

Toronto residents shouldn't put away their umbrellas just yet.

The rain is expected to end Wednesday morning and there will be a reprieve for a couple days, but Environment Canada's long-range forecast is calling for more rain Saturday through Tuesday.

A high of 13 C is expected Wednesday, along with wind gusts as strong as 50 km/h in the afternoon.

Highs of 9 C and 8 C are expected Thursday and Friday, respectively.
