TORONTO - A new interactive website will let residents and tourists explore Toronto's history as they read stories from the people of the city.

Mayor David Miller and the Toronto Museum Project launched the website on Saturday.

Miller says the website will increase public access to the city's historical collection, which includes more than 150, 000 objects.

The Toronto Museum Project online is a virtual exhibit showcasing the city's artifacts.

The interactive website asked 100 people from Toronto to react to these artifacts by sharing their personal stories.

For example, a photo of a chair dated back to the 1930s includes not only a description from the curator, but also a local resident's connection to the object.
