TORONTO - Jim Cuddy, City and Colour and Deborah Cox are among the performers slated for next week's Gemini Awards.

The Canadian television industry gathers to salute the best of the small screen Wednesday with an hour-long televised bash.

Standup superstar Russell Peters will host the celebration, where HBO Canada's "Call Me Fitz" and CTV's "Flashpoint" are among the big nominees. Presenters are set to include Alan Thicke, Jason Priestley, Catherine O'Hara and Nicole Appleton.

Cox, recently named one of the judges on CBC's upcoming cover-band contest "Cover Me Canada," will sing alongside rising star Kellylee Evans and be backed by dancers from CTV's "So You Think You Can Dance Canada."

Meanwhile, comic Tom Green will host a pre-show webcast featuring interviews with celebrities backstage.

The Gemini Awards air Wednesday on CBC-TV.
