King Street has reopened between York and Bay Streets after panes of glass fell from the 27th floor of a downtown office tower on Thursday.
Police say officers on the ground were nearly injured responding to the call. They say a piece of wood from a construction site at First Canadian Place blew across the street and into glass windows at the Royal Trust Tower.
High winds is being blamed for knocking three planes of glass to the ground at about the noon hour.
