Toronto police have identified the man who was shot and killed in the Moss Park neighbourhood on Wednesday night.
It happened just after 8 p.m. near the intersection of Queen Street East and Sherbourne Street.
Police said 43-year-old Lyle Pounall was found there suffering from a serious gunshot wound. Officers and paramedics performed life-saving measures before taking Pounall to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
He is the city’s third homicide victim of the year.
Investigators have not provided any suspect information, nor details about what might have motivated the shooting.
