A violent fight downtown on Friday afternoon has left two men injured, and both facing charges.
Police say two men got into a fight at about 3:30 p.m. on Sherbourne Street, south of Dundas Street.
One man was allegedly hit over the head with a beer bottle, and retaliated by pulling out a knife and slashing his attacker. He was treated in hospital and released.
The other man required emergency surgery, for what police say are not believed to be life-threatening injuries.
Police say they expect to lay charges against both men.
