NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. - A 27-year-old man is still alive after a 30-foot fall down the Niagara Gorge in Niagara Falls, Ont. early this morning.

The man had to be extricated from the gorge by fire officials and was sent to hospital with a broken leg and head trauma.

Police say he is going to be charged under the Niagara Parks Act of Ontario.

The man is from London, Ont.

Police say he fell because he was trying to get a better look at the Niagara River.
