TORONTO - Police say two men from Mississauga, Ont., are facing charges in last month's mugging of a senior citizen on the Toronto subway.

Police say 27-year-old Shawn Waldron and 28-year-old Jason Thompson are charged with robbery and forcible confinement.

A 79-year-old man was on an eastbound train nearing Chester station on April 24, when a man seated beside him asked him for some change.

After the man said he didn't have change, a second man then asked the victim for change.

When the victim stood to try to activate the passenger assistance alarm, the two men grabbed him and stole his wallet.

Police say the man fought with the suspects and called out for help, but none of the other people on the train assisted.
