Three stabbed in Mississauga

Two people are fighting for their life in hospital after suffering stab wounds during an altercation in Mississauga Thursday afternoon.

Police say it was a domestic-related call involving a 28-year-old woman, a 31-year-old man and a 33-year-old man.

The incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. at the rear of an apartment in the Bloor Street and Bridgewood Drive area.

The woman and older man are in hospital in critical condition. The 31-year-old man was also transported to hospital with stab wounds but was put under police custody.

Police continue to investigate.

Bricks fall from Yonge St. building

Toronto police are once again warning pedestrians to watch out for debris falling from buildings.

This time, it is bricks that have fallen onto the sidewalk at 657 Yonge Street.

Police have secured the area to protect pedestrians.

There have been several incidents over the last few months of glass falling from highrise structures in Toronto.

Van catches fire

A van parked in front of a church daycare caught fire Thursday afternoon.

The fire was put out quickly and no damage was done to the church, located at the corner of Vaughan Road and St. Clair Avenue.

The daycare is situated in the basement of the church. All occupants were ushered out of the building and no one was injured.
