Peel Police made arrests in two recent murders this weekend, while the family of one of the victims laid their son to rest on Saturday.

Family and friends of 19-year-old Brandon Paltooram gathered Saturday for his funeral after he was one of three people to be stabbed at a party last Saturday night. The other two victims survived the attack, which took place near Eglinton Avenue and Mavis Road.

The Mississauga teen's funeral comes on the same day a 16-year-old suspect in the murder made his first court appearance after being charged with second degree murder and attempted murder.

Police have also made an arrest in the shooting murder of Harry Gill, who was also killed last Saturday in Mississauga, gunned down at an engagement party.

Jagjit Gill, 23, faces several charges including second degree murder.

No arrests have been made yet in Mississauga's third murder last weekend. Kamaul Japp, 22, was shot outside the Sugar Island Bar early last Sunday.
