A three-year-old boy who was rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Mississauga early Tuesday evening is in critical, but stable condition, Peel police say.

The child’s mother and brother were also struck by the vehicle on Bromsgrove Road near Tredmore Drive shortly before 6 p.m.

Police says the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

The boy was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

His younger brother and mother were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
