Police have released new surveillance video that shows several cars passing the scene where a 27-year-old was killed last weekend.

The video, released at a news conference Saturday, shows Skinner standing on the edge of Adelaide Street while being passed by a black SUV.

Moments later there is a traffic backup at the same spot, with several cars changing lanes to go around the stopped vehicle. Police believe the drivers of those other vehicles may have insight into Skinner’s death last Sunday.

Police believe Skinner made some kind of contact with the SUV prior to the deadly confrontation. They say it’s possible he bumped the vehicle while trying to hail a cab, or that he may have tapped the SUV on purpose.

Skinner died in hospital after beating beaten and run over by at Adelaide and Victoria Streets. He had been walking home alone after celebrating his sister's 23rd birthday in Toronto's entertainment district.

Police have already released video showing the wanted vehicle just minutes before the killing, cruising through the intersection of Adelaide and Bay Streets.
