Four people are dead following a fiery crash in Brampton Monday night, Peel police have confirmed.

It happened near Bovaird and Gillingham drives at around after 8:45 p.m.

The circumstances surrounding the two-vehicle crash were not immediately clear.

“Unfortunately I can confirm now that we have four people that have been pronounced at the scene,” Peel police Const. Paolo Carretta said.

Information on the genders and ages of the victims was not immediately provided.

Bovaird Drive is currently closed between Hurontario Street and Van Kirk Drive.
