A woman wanted in connection with what police called an ‘unprovoked, random’ attack at a downtown drugstore last week has been arrested.

Tuesday afternoon’s arrest stems from an incident that occurred Friday afternoon shortly before 3 p.m.

According to police, a woman walked into a Shoppers Drug Mart, located at 66 Wellington St. W. in the downtown PATH system, and randomly stabbed a female inside the store.

Police said the victim remained in ‘grave’ condition as of Tuesday afternoon.

A small kitchen knife has been recovered.

Community tips were ‘instrumental’ in leading to the arrest, police said.

Forty-year-old Toronto resident Rohinie Bisesar is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and carrying a concealed weapon.

She is due to appear in court Wednesday morning.
