The body of a kayaker who went missing in the waters of Lake Ontario near Pickering over the weekend has been found, police say.
Search teams from a number of different rescue departments scoured the waters Sunday with no results.
The body was found on the shores of the lake by a passerby who called police, Durham Regional Police said in a news release Monday morning.
The name of the kayaker is not being released at the request of his family, police said.
