Homicide detectives have been called in to investigate after a man’s body was found with signs of trauma in the St. Clair Avenue West and Old Weston Road area Saturday evening, Toronto police say.

Officers were called to an industrial area adjacent to train tracks at Union and Townsley streets by a citizen who noticed a dispute.

Police arrived around 5:30 p.m. and discovered an adult man’s body showing signs of trauma.

Later in the evening, police confirmed to CP24 the death is being treated as suspicious and said homicide detectives had been called to the scene. Forensics officers and a collision reconstruction team have also been called in.

Police said a train was involved in the incident, but they have not said how it was involved.

The deceased man has not yet been identified.
