A male victim was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed multiple times outside a bar in Whitby overnight.

Durham police said the stabbing took place after a fight broke out around 1:40 a.m. at a bar near Brock and Dundas streets.

Police said the victim was stabbed in the face and the shoulder.

Police are looking for a suspect described as a black male standing five-foot-eight with long dread locks, tanned pants and a plaid shirt.

The man’s injuries are considered non-life-threatening, police said.
