A 63-year-old man is dead after his southbound Chevrolet collided with a northbound Dodge Caravan on Regional Road 57 north of Bowmanville Friday night.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. near Concession Road 9 close to Enniskillen, police said.
Police say the man was pronounced dead on scene after the chevy veered into the northbound lanes and collided with the Dodge. The female driver of the Dodge sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Police say poor road conditions were a factor in the collision.
Traffic services are investigating.
