A man offering a round-the-world plane ticket to anyone with the name Elizabeth Gallagher said that in just 24 hours, many people have come forward to claim the free trip.

On Monday, 28-year-old Jordan Axani took to Reddit, explaining how he and a former girlfriend booked a “fairly wicked” trip around the world for Christmas last March but had since broken up. While he said he still plans to go on the trip, his girlfriend, Elizabeth Gallagher, does not.

Rather than cancelling or attempting the “impossible” process of changing the name on the ticket, he offered the trip with no strings attached to any Elizabeth Gallagher with a Canadian passport.

“I am not looking for anything in return. I am not looking for companionship, romance, drugs, a trade, or to take selfies with you in front the Christmas Market in Prague,” he said in the post.

“Really the only thing I ask for is that you enjoy this trip and that it bring you happiness.”

Axani, who described himself as “friendly, trustworthy and full of good stories,” tagged on a few other requirements for the person who accepts the ticket.

He asked that they be “sane," "smart," and “ready for a spontaneous life experience that will, one day, be an epic story that you’ll tell your kids.”

He also asked that the recipient of the unique offer “pay it forward” someday.

“I’ve been lucky in life and this is me giving back to the universe. Do something similar someday,” he wrote.

On Tuesday, about a day after posting the proposal on Reddit, Axani said that he had fulfilled his mission.

“Since putting my long-shot request out there, I have received thousands of emails from people around the world," he said in a written statement

"Among those, I have received dozens of emails from Elizabeths who are Canadian."

The 18-day trip, which begins Dec. 21, includes stops in Milan, Prague, Paris, Bangkok, and New Delhi.
