"We got home around 1 a.m. and for probably about a nine-block radius we couldn't get anywhere near my apartment so we had to stand out here and wait for a couple hours," Thomas Nelson, who lives near the bar, told CP24 at the scene."They (police) had five or six people pasted against the outside of the bar frisking them and putting cuffs on a couple of them. I couldn't get much of a look at what was going on."

Two men were taken into custody at the scene, however one of them has since been released. The other, a 22-year-old man, has been charged with obstruction of justice.

The weapon was recovered at the scene.

Police are currently canvassing area businesses in the hopes that the shooting may have been caught on tape.
