Toronto police have identified a body found near a set of train tracks running behind an east-end park Friday morning.
A passerby spotted the body in a clearing behind Jimmie Simpson Park, near Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue, at around 10:45 a.m.
The victim has been identified as 24-year-old George Fawell.
Police sources told CTV News that the Fawell's throat was slashed and his hands were bound.
As a result of the police investigation, GO Train service was suspended between Danforth and Union stations on the Lakeshore East line until about 1 p.m.
