York Regional Police say a person was murdered in a domestic incident at a home in Richmond Hill on Thursday morning.
Police say they were called to a home on Dunvegan Drive, near the intersection of Yonge Street and Highway 7, at 10:58 a.m.
Upon arrival they found a man and a woman dead inside the home.
"At this point in time I can tell you it was a man and a woman - both adults - that succumbed to their injuries and our officers said there were obvious signs of trauma there," Const. Andy Pattenden said at the scene Thursday afternoon.
Investigators say it is an isolated incident and they are not seeking suspects at this time.
Police say there is no threat to public safety.
