A 38-year-old woman is facing a combined 18 charges after she allegedly stole an estimated $150,000 from victims she had promised to provide with low-fare airplane tickets to the Philippines.

Police say the woman purported to be authorized to sell airline fares and accepted cash or credit card payments from her alleged victims for the tickets.

The victims, however, never received the tickets they paid for and those who paid with a credit card later discovered unauthorized purchases on their credit card statements, police allege.

Lorna Natalie Arcega, of the Philippines, was arrested in Toronto on Aug. 27 and charged with 18 offences, including four counts of fraud over $5,000 and three counts of unauthorized use of credit card data.

Police say that they believe there may be additional victims out there who have not yet come forward.

Arcega also went by the name Natalie.
