Police are investigating after a female student was sexually assaulted on the campus of York University Friday night.

The 20-year-old woman had just stepped off a TTC bus near Vari Hall at around 4:50 p.m. when she was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her, police say.

The man subsequently fled on foot and was last seen in the vicinity of the GO bus stop at York Lanes.

He is described as about six-feet-tall with a dark black complexion, short black hair and bulging eyes. He was wearing a black bomber jacket with a red hoody pulled over his head, black jeans and black sneakers with a white swoosh logo.
