One female is dead following a collision in Mississauga Wednesday night, Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Dave Woodford has confirmed.

Woodford says the three-vehicle crash happened in the westbound lanes of Highway 403 when a car went off the road and struck two construction vehicles on the side of the highway near Mavis Road at around 9 p.m.

The female driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries where she was later pronounced dead.

Two other people who were working on the side of the road were also injured when their parked vehicle was struck.

There is currently no word on the severity of their injuries.
