Man suffers stab wound in fight

A male is in hospital and Toronto police are looking for a suspect after a stabbing early Friday morning.

Police officers were called to the area of Eglinton Avenue and Redpath Avenue when a street fight was reported shortly before 1:20 a.m.

One of the males involved in the fight suffered a stab wound.

He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The suspect fled and hasn't been arrested.

Pedestrian hit by vehicle

Toronto police are investigating an early-morning collision that sent a pedestrian to hospital with head injuries Friday.

The collision occurred at Islington Avenue and Bergamot Avenue at about 12:15 a.m.

Police said the victim was transported to Sunnybrook Hospital to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver remained at the scene of the collision.

No charges have been laid.
