Man injured in industrial accident

A 45-year-old man has been transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after an industrial accident in Scarborough.

It happened around 2:20 p.m.

According to police, the man dropped 12 to 15 feet from the second floor of a construction site on Glenridge Road near Kingston Road and Midland Avenue.

He was conscious and breathing as emergency crews took him to the hospital.

Man walks into hospital with gunshot wound

Toronto police are looking for a crime scene after a man hobbled into a hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot early Friday.

Police are trying to figure out the circumstances of the incident, including the location of the shooting.

It's not known if the gunshot wound was self-inflicted, or if the man was shot by someone.

Police said the man walked into Toronto East General Hospital on Coxwell Avenue at about 12:45 a.m.

The man's condition wasn't available, but police said he is will be fine.
