Police have a suspect in Saturday's killing of an innocent bystander at a Queen Street bar, and say they're dedicating "a tremendous amount of resources" to finding where he is.

Toronto Police Det. Sgt. Gary Giroux says they are looking for Kyle Weese, 24, noting he has an extensive criminal record and under court orders not to carry weapons of any kind.

A Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder has been issued for his arrest.

"He's been a dangerous person for a long time," says Giroux, adding that there will be few places the suspect can hide.

"The borders are flagged, the airports are flagged. A tremendous amount of resources is being dedicated to finding out where he is."

Giroux says the public should take caution if they see Weese, who is considered "armed and extremely dangerous."

Early Saturday morning, 23-year-old Bailey Zaveda was killed and four others wounded when shots were fired toward the Duke of York Tavern. Witnesses say two men were arguing on the street when one of them pulled out a gun and fired numerous rounds.

Anyone with information on Weese's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
