A plan to inspect all propane sites across the province is expected on the desk of the Consumer Minister today.

The Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) will meet with Consumer Minister Harinder Takhar with a plan for a full inspection of major propane sites which must be completed by September.

Most residents who fled their homes near Keele Street and Wilson Avenue when the Sunrise Propane depot blew up have since been permitted to return.

There is now just one house on Murray Road where residents have not yet been given the green light. Inspectors and engineers have been on-site since the explosion nine days ago.

The city says asbestos levels in the area are returning to normal.

Premier Dalton McGuinty visited the blast site for the first time yesterday.

McGuinty says his government will look at whether it is safe to put propane facilities in the heart of a neighbourhood.
