TORONTO - Andrew Nielsen scored 1:31 into overtime and Brendan Leipsic added a goal and two assists as the Toronto Marlies beat the visiting Providence Bruins 4-3 on Wednesday in American Hockey League action.

Leipsic now has three goals and 12 points in six games to lead the AHL in scoring.

Toronto's Kasperi Kapanen added a goal and an assist and is second in league scoring with four goals and nine points in six games.

Tobias Lindberg also scored for the Marlies (5-1-0), who won their third game in a row before heading out on a six-game road trip. Antoine Bibeau made 30 saves to improve to 4-0-0 on the season.

Zac Rinaldo and Peter Mueller gave the Bruins (1-3-2) a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. Toronto scored three straight in the second before Jordan Szwarz scored in the third to force extra time.

Daniel Vladar, 19, made his first career AHL start for Boston's AHL affiliate because regulars Zane MacIntyre and Malcolm Subban are currently with the big club due to injuries to Tuukka Rask and Anton Khudobin. Vladar kicked out 35-of-39 shots in defeat.
