TORONTO - The man accused of running down and killing a Toronto police officer with a stolen snowplow is scheduled to make another court appearance next month.

Richard Kachkar made a brief video appearance today and the case was put over to March 17, when he is again expected to appear via video.

Kachkar faces a first-degree murder charge in the death of Sgt. Ryan Russell.

His lawyer, Bob Richardson, says he is awaiting more disclosure from the Crown.

Kachkar, 44, of no fixed address, was shot and arrested Jan. 12 about an hour after Russell was struck down while trying to stop the plow during a chase through city streets.

Russell, 35, left behind a wife and two-year-old son.
