Police are searching for two suspects after shots were fired during a robbery at a Mississauga mall Tuesday night.
Police say the shots were fired during a robbery inside the Peoples Jewellers in the Erin Mills Town Centre, located at 5100 Erin Mills Pkwy., shortly after 8 p.m.
The mall has since been evacuated and a perimeter around the mall has been set up.
No injuries have been reported.
“The outcome could have been a lot worse,” Peel police Const. George Tudos told CP24 at the scene.
Police will be conducting interviews with numerous individuals who witnessed the robbery and examining surveillance video from inside the store and mall.
A canine unit is on scene to assist in the search for the suspects, described to police as two black males, who fled on foot, police say.
