A day after Toronto FC acquired young Argentine striker Pablo Vitti on loans, it dealt defender and MLS league veteran Tyrone Marshall to Seattle Sounders FC.

In exchange for losing Marshall, Toronto will receive an undisclosed amount of allocation money.

"Tyrone is a veteran of this league and we wish him all the best," says Mo Johnston, Toronto's director of soccer.

Johnston also says the trade was another move to improve the team.

The 34-year-old Jamaican joined Toronto during its inaugural season, appearing in 40 games and logging 3,459 minutes.
