SUNBURY, Pa. -- A prosecutor is seeking the death penalty for a Pennsylvania couple charged with killing a man allegedly lured through a Craigslist ad.

District Attorney Anthony Rosini said Tuesday that aggravating circumstances would justify death sentences for 22-year-old Elytte Barbour and his 19-year-old wife, Miranda. Authorities say the victim was killed during a robbery and tortured.

Authorities say Miranda Barbour stabbed 42-year-old Troy LaFerrara of Port Trevorton in the front seat of her car while Elytte Barbour held a cord around his neck from the back seat. Elytte Barbour allegedly told investigators they committed the Nov. 11 crime because they wanted to kill someone together.

Miranda Barbour's attorney says he isn't surprised the prosecutor is seeking the death penalty.

Rosini says he'll also seek a joint trial.
