The debit and credit card payment option on machines on the city’s newest streetcars will be disabled this weekend due to system maintenance.
According to the TTC, customers boarding any of the 18 next-generation streetcars currently in service will be limited to paying with cash or tokens for this weekend.
The temporary disabling of the debit/credit option on board the streetcars is due to some backend system maintenance, the TTC says.
As well, customers will be unable to use any off the Presto card reloading machines located at TTC facilities this weekend.
TTC riders with Presto cards can still use them to tap and pay their fare upon boarding streetcars.
