A female cyclist is dead after an accident in Etobicoke Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the 51-year-old woman was riding westbound in the passing lane on Lake Shore Boulevard West, near Dwight Avenue, when she lost control of her bicycle shortly after 4:30 p.m.
The woman fell into the passing lane of eastbound traffic where she was struck by a van operated by a 62-year-old man.
She died at the scene.
